Nikolaos Mantzoufas is General Secretary for Private Investments and PPPs at the Ministry of Development and Investments since 2019, following his position as Special Secretary for Public Private Partnerships at the Ministry of Economy since 2009. He is also Investment Board President of the financial instrument JESSICA (for urban development projects), implemented by the European Commission and the European Investment Bank since 2012 and Investment Board President of the Infrastructure Fund since 2019. Furthermore, he is a member of the Advisory Committee of the EPEC (European PPP Expertise Centre) of the European Investment Bank.
Prior to joining the Greek Government, he had a ten year experience in the private sector, and specifically, in an international banking group (Bank of America), in corporate and investment banking and with the international audit company Grant Thornton as Head of the Project Finance Division.Hehas been involved as financial advisor in a substantial number of privatization and PPP projects in Greece. He holds a Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He speaks English and German.
