Maria Gatsou

Maria Gatsou joined SETE in 2018 as Director of Communication and in September 2020 she became General Director of the Greek Tourism Confederation. Having started her multi-year path in the communication sector in 2000, in 2005 she joined V+O Communications, where she handled large scale accounts and gained significant experience in key business fields, including, among others, tourism, shipping, real estate and retail. Maria has a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic communication plans (media relations, public and community affairs, etc.) and crisis management plans; she is also highly experienced in events organization. She holds a BSc in Business Administration from the American College of Greece and a Master’s Degree in Tourism Marketing from the University of Surrey.
