Ηe is an economist with scientific interests in the field of economic development, financial institutions and large investment projects in transportation infrastructure.He is founder and presently head of POADEP, a non-profit research company specializing in studies upon the developmental impact of modern motorways in Greece. He has also served in high-ranking positions in the financial and public administration sectors.
