Tasos Chronis
Tasos Chronis was born on August 1983, and he grew in Ancient Epidavros. He studied at High School in Ligourio and in 2001 after the national exams, he was admitted to the Hellenic Police Academy – the police school of the Hellenic Police. He has served in various services in Attica, Piraeus, and the Argosaronic Islands.
In 2009, he passed the entrance exams to the Department of Local Government Administration – Business Administration at the Technological Educational Institute of Kalamata, where he specialized in issues related to the organization and management of local government units.
From a very young age, he has been involved in public issues through associations, organizations, and volunteer groups, as well as through institutional positions such as youth elected councils. He participated in the organization of numerous events, seminars, and conferences making proposals to all bodies on various issues mainly concerning youth. He successfully attended e-learning courses: Sustainable Urban Development, Forest Protection, and Climate Change by the International Biopolitics Organization.
In 2010 he elected municipal councilor, while in 2013 he became the leader of the loyal opposition and participated in 2014 elections.
In 2019 he elected Mayor for the first time, and he will continue his term of office for the next five years, as he re-elected Mayor in the 2023 Municipal Elections.
He is married to Evgenia Kotsiani, an educator, with whom he has two daughters.
