Theo Benos
Dr. Theo Benos is a freelance agri-food policy advisor, as well as a researcher at Zuyd University’s Sustainable International Business (SIB) Research Center in the Netherlands. He holds a BSc from the Athens University of Economics and Business, two Master’s degrees, and a PhD from Wageningen University & Research in cooperatives. Dr. Benos has previously worked as a researcher at the University of Crete, an advisor at the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, a lecturer at Maastricht University, and a researcher at the Italian Institute for Agricultural Research “CREA”. Additionally, he has collaborated with the Research and Policy Institute “diaNEOsis”. His research and policy work focuses on cooperatives, short food supply chains, unfair trading practices, and the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy.
