Alexandros Angelopoulos

Alexandros N. Angelopoulos, was born in Athens in 1972. He studied Business Management at Boston University (1995) and attended Boston College for his postgraduate studies in International Management (1998). Moreover, he is a graduate of the PDP program at New York Cornell University (2008).
He is the Managing Director of Aldemar Resorts, a leading resorts chain company in Greece. He has been actively involved in the family business since 1995, working diligently to introduce innovative ideas and policies that open up new horizons in the Greek hotel industry, positioning tourism at the core of the Greek economic activity.
Deeply engaged in the developments of the Greek business ecosystem and the European setting, Alexandros Angelopoulos actively participates in various organizations and committees representing the tourism sector and entrepreneurship in Greece. Currently, he holds the positions of Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Entrepreneurs Association, Secretary General of the Chamber of Hotels in Heraklion, Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, and Member of the Leadership Council of Boston University in Greece. Additionally, he serves as the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine for Peloponnese.
Committed to supporting and nurturing young talent, Alexandros Angelopoulos regularly participates in educational initiatives and mentorship programs for students and aspiring entrepreneurs. Since 2020, he teaches “Sustainable Development in Tourism” in the postgraduate program of Bioeconomy, Circular Economy, and Sustainable Development at the University of Piraeus.
Recently he was elected to the Governing Council of the University of Patras with the aim of contributing to the strategic development of the University, enhancing the outward orientation of the Institution, and strengthening its connection with society and the economy.
